Why we love this book?:

Dr. George Blackburn, explains in great detail why YOUR DIET FAILED YOU!

Why diets don't work and why you can't seem shed that stubborn weight.

For me it was empowering to learn that all the crazy fads diets never should have worked in the first place.

Anyone who has ever struggled with their weight needs to read this book. It tells the truth about weight gain and loss in logical easy to understand terms.

How do I burn body fat?
Posted On: Sep 2, 2008 06:40 PM

Ok, first you need to use a Heart Rate Monitor and stay in your Fat Burn Heart Rate Zone. The low end of your Fat Burn Heart Rate Zone is 50% of your Max Heart Rate. The high end of your Fat Burn Heart Rate Zone is 80% of your Max Heart Rate.

Training in your target fat burn zone should seem effortless. Most people believe that "harder is better". Many of these same people tell us that they workout all the time and never seem to shed that layer of fat. So stop doing that....

Training smarter is better as you will shed more body fat and reduce the risk of injury.

Are Carbs Bad?
Posted On: Sep 2, 2008 06:39 PM

NO! You need carbohydrates. People ask us all the time; Don't carbs get stored as fat?

The answer is: Yes, so don't store them!

Eating smaller meals more frequently, (very European) which helps to burn the fuel you take in so that you are burning all that you eat, not storing it as fat.

Does J.R. Rosania consume carbs?

About 80% of J.R.'s meals are carbs, as they provide more caloires for fuel. J.R. BMR is 2600 kcals. however he burns about 5,000 calories on an average training day.

Going Slower Burns More Fat!
Posted On: Aug 20, 2008 08:42 PM

Yes, its true. Training at the low end of your heart rate range or Aerobic Phase actually mobilized fat into the blood stream where it is carried to the stomach to be burned as fuel.
